(KSL News) Search and rescue crews worked to get two women off a mountain in Provo Canyon.
The women hiked up the mountain and somehow got stuck on two separate ledges.
Crews say the terrain was steep and treacherous. They're still trying to figure out how the two were able to hike to that area.
Two rescue teams scaled the side of the mountain and had to lower one woman down to the ledge her friend was on. Both hikers then descended by rope to a lower location so they could hike off the mountain.
Both were a little shaken up but otherwise OK.
