ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Texas Rangers have reached a two-year player development agreement with the High-A High Desert Mavericks of the California League.
The Rangers' High-A team was in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the past four seasons, and this year made the Carolina League playoffs for the fourth season in a row.
Before going to the Carolina League, the Rangers' High-A team had been affiliated with Bakersfield of the California League from 2005-10.
The High Desert Mavericks, part of the California League since 1991, are located in Adelanto, California. High Desert just ended an eight-year affiliation with the Seattle Mariners.
