MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Memphis must play the rest of the season without injured running back Doroland Dorceus.

Tigers coach Justin Fuente announced Monday that Dorceus would miss the rest of the year, but did not say what say what injury had sidelined the sophomore running back. Dorceus got hurt Saturday during a 24-3 loss to No. 11 Mississippi, which was ranked 10th at the time of the game.

Dorceus had rushed for a team-high 237 yards and four touchdowns on 46 carries through Memphis' first four games of the season. Fuente said the Tigers would seek a redshirt for Dorceus.

Memphis (2-2) plays at Cincinnati (2-1) on Saturday in the American Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
