OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Bear Moon took the lead nearing the top of the stretch and then drew off to win the $47,250 allowance feature at Monmouth Park on Sunday, beating Rainbow at Midnite by 2 ¼ lengths.
Ridden by Vince Halliday and trained by owner Cathy Denelsbeck, the 4-year-old filly ran the six furlongs in 1:11 1/5 and returned $71.20, $25 and $12.40. It was Bear Moon's second win in 4 career starts.
Rainbow at Midnite paid $7 and $5, while Main Entrance was 1 ½ lengths back in third and returned $4.20 to show.
