ATLANTA (AP) — Tampa Bay quarterback Josh McCown left the game against Atlanta with an injured thumb.

McCown's right hand appeared to strike the helmet of a Falcons rusher after he delivered an incomplete pass in the second quarter Thursday night. Mike Glennon finished up the half for the Buccaneers, who trailed 35-0 at the break.

The Falcons lost receiver Harry Douglas to a foot injury in the first half.

The Bucs said McCown wouldn't return.

Atlanta receiver-return specialist Devin Hester also left the game with cramps after breaking the NFL record with his 20th return for a touchdown. He brought back a punt for a 56-yard score, breaking the mark he shared with Deion Sanders.
