CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — The southwestern Idaho city of Caldwell is spending $65,000 to improve its image.
Mayor Garret Nancolas tells KBOI-TV (http://bit.ly/1reUrws) that the community is a safe and wonderful place for people to live, work, raise a family and participate in local events.
He says crime is down dramatically and by one measurement is at its lowest since 1985.
He says festivals, football games at the College of Idaho and new businesses make for a more vibrant city.
Businesses donated $60,000 and the city is putting in another $5,000 to pay for a study that will help guide city leaders in how to revamp the town.
