Body of missing Paradise man recovered in canyon

LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Authorities have found the body of a missing Paradise man inside a canyon near Logan.

The Utah Highway Patrol says 61-year Osmer Michael Baker's body was found Monday afternoon in Blacksmith Fork Canyon.

Lt. Lee Perry says it appears Baker was riding through the canyon a week ago on his scooter and crashed in a group of trees down an embankment.

The Herald Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1DcOAwt ) Baker had been missing since Sept. 5.

The State Medical Examiner's Office is conducting an autopsy.
