(KSL News) Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff says members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints wanted him dead.
Speaking at a Salt Lake County Bar Association panel discussion yesterday, Shurtleff said a confidential informant told him FLDS congregations were told to pray for his demise after he had a motorcycle accident last fall. He also said members of the faith view him as the "anti-Christ."
A lawyer for the FLDS Church denies Shurtleff's allegations.
