EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — Belgium's Sep Vanmarcke broke out of a three-rider group going into the final corner and sprinted to victory Friday in the third leg of the Tour of Alberta.
The Belkin-Pro Cycling team rider finished the 100-mile leg in 3 hours, 12 minutes 11 seconds. Lithuania's Ramunas Navardauskas was second.
Tom Dumoulin of the Netherlands was 11th, about 11 seconds behind Vanmarcke, and retained the yellow jersey as the overall leader. Germany's Ruben Zepuntke was second overall, eight seconds back.
