AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — Georgia Regents Medical Center and Cerner Corp. are working together to use technology to lower health care costs.
The 14-year agreement was announced Thursday. Some Georgia Regents Health System information technology staff will become Cerner associates starting Sept. 29 as part of the agreement.
The agreement, called the Jaguar Collaborative, provides more technology services and electronic health records to Georgia Regents' staff.
Georgia Regents Health System CEO Ricardo Azziz says health care providers have to search for creative solutions to increase efficiency and keep costs controlled.
