REARDAN, Wash. (AP) — Too much heat and too little rain this summer are taking a toll on the winter wheat crop in Eastern Washington. Farmer Joel Zwainz tells the Spokesman-Review newspaper that his family's 3,400-acre farm near Reardan will produce 30 to 50 percent less wheat than it did last year. That's down about 30 percent from last year's yield.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — A 30-year-old Minneapolis man is pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering after $200,000 was found in his car's trunk during a traffic stop in northern Idaho in January 2013. Charging documents say Allan Hayes told investigators the money was the proceeds of the sale of marijuana and that he was taking the money to California to pay for more pot.

KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) — A massive piece of refinery equipment has crossed into Montana from Idaho. The Montana Department of Transportation says the load stopped early today about three-tenths of a mile past the Idaho border on Montana Highway 200.
