SOUTH JORDAN — A man was arrested Monday after burglarizing “numerous” garages and vehicles in South Jordan, police said.
The thefts occurred between June and August in the Daybreak Community in South Jordan, according to South Jordan police. Joseph C. Price, 32, allegedly stole computers, credit cards, purses and other items from garages and vehicles during daytime hours, police said.
When Price was confronted by homeowners, he would tell them he was “looking for lost cats,” police said.
Police said Price used a stolen credit card around South Jordan and pawned other stolen items. If anyone believes they were a victim of the burglaries, call South Jordan Police Department at 801-840-4000.
The South Jordan Police Department also said residents should keep garage doors closed and remove all items from vehicles to "reduce the likelihood of falling victim to similar schemes.”
