FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas health agencies are monitoring the state for any possible cases of the deadly Ebola virus, though there's no indication anyone in the state has the disease.
The Pat Walker Health Center at the University of Arkansas, the state Health Department and other providers are working to identify people who have traveled from west Africa, where the disease is spreading.
The agencies want to know about anyone who has traveled from Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria or Sierra Leone in the past three weeks. Anyone who has traveled to those countries in that time frame is asked to contact health monitors.
People should seek medical care if they've traveled to those countries and are experiencing severe headache, muscle pain, weakness, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain or lack of appetite.
