Jon Dunn ReportingMillions of American veterans are on alert for changes to their credit, thanks to a stolen laptop.
Danny Evans served in Air Force in the late ‘70's. When he heard about the theft a few weeks ago, he didn't really think he would be affected. Tuesday, that all changed.
"The letter I got said that my information was compromised and it listed things I should do," says Evans.
Evans received that letter from the V.A. telling him to watch his credit more closely just to be safe.
"I probably will. I usually try to keep track pretty close," says Evans.
Approximately 26.5 million vets will receive the same letter as Evans. A reward has been posted for the return of the stolen laptop.
