Three Salt Lake pitchers combined to throw a five hit shutout, as the Bees blanked the Las Vegas 51s 1-0 on Wednesday night. Starter Shane Loux (3-0) went seven innings and allowed just four hits with six strikeouts and two walks, as he extends his consecutive scoreless innings streak to 14. Matt Wilhite worked the eighth and Jose Arredondo authored a 1-2-3 ninth inning for his league leading sixth save of the season.

Sean Rodriguez provided the pitching staff with the only run they needed with a one out, solo homer in the seventh inning off of former Salt Lake reliever Greg Jones. Rodriguez had two of the three hits that the Bees managed off of three Las Vegas pitchers. Bobby Wilson had the other, a two out double in the seventh inning. Salt Lake's 12-1 start is the best in the 15 year history of the franchise.
