LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police are searching for a gunman who made off with an undisclosed amount of money from the Bellagio hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
Police released few details other than to say the Friday night robbery involved a cashier.
A resort spokesperson says the Bellagio is cooperating with police, but declined to elaborate.
In December 2010, a gunman wearing a helmet left with more than $1.5 million in chips — many ranging in denominations from $10,000 to $25,000 each — from the Bellagio.
Anthony Michael Carleo, the son of a former Las Vegas Municipal Court judge, was later arrested and sentenced to three to 11 years in prison for the robbery.
The robbery was captured by security cameras.
