LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) — A metro Atlanta technical college is launching a logistics management concentration in hopes of supporting the industry, which has a major presence in the region.
Officials from Gwinnett Technical College said in a release Monday that the school will launch a two-semester logistic management concentration on Aug. 20 and final applications for the program are due July 31.
School officials say logistics is the business of moving goods and services between manufacturers, retailers and consumers in fast, reliable ways.
Officials say the concentration is focused on young newcomers and working professionals and classes will be offered in the evening.
Some of the courses are expected to cover several subject areas including business logistics, materials management, purchasing and more.
