Man airlifted after Valley Co. plane crash

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — An Oregon man is in critical condition after his small plane went down in central Idaho.

KTVB (http://bit.ly/1qrOpZB) reports that Jay Minor, 71, was piloting a Cessna 182 when he crashed near the Big Creek Airstrip in Valley County.

The Valley County Sheriff's Office says Minor was airlifted to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise Sunday with life-threatening injuries.

Hospital officials say Minor was in critical condition as of Monday morning.

KTVB also reports that six aircraft crashes have occurred in Valley County over the past year resulting in nine deaths.
