ATHENS, Greece (AP) — A Greek court has ordered the detention of another Golden Dawn lawmaker on charges of running a criminal organization, bringing the total number of jailed parliamentarians from the extreme right-wing party to eight.

The court ruled on Monday that Artemis Mattheopoulos should be held in pre-trial detention on the charges, which stem from a crackdown following last year's fatal stabbing of a left-wing musician, allegedly by a party supporter. Golden Dawn denies any link to the killing.

The head of the Nazi-inspired party, Nikos Michaloliakos, is among those in jail, while his wife Eleni Zaroulia, also a lawmaker, was placed under temporary house arrest last week until judges decide whether she too should be held pending trial.

The date for the trial hasn't been set yet.
