CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Forward Joe Thomas is transferring from Niagara to play for the Miami Hurricanes in 2014-15, and he will have one year of eligibility.
The 6-foot-7, 235-pound Thomas, who played at Miami Krop High School, averaged 3.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 30 games last season at Niagara and led the Purple Eagles in blocks.
Thomas' transfer was announced Friday. He will be one of nine new players on the Hurricanes' roster next season.
