NEW YORK (AP) — J to the Croft beat Los Borrachos by a neck Friday in the $77,000 allowance feature for 3-year-olds on the turf at Belmont Park.
J to the Croft, the 2-1 favorite, closely tracked the pace set by Unlocked before taking charge in midstretch. Los Borrachos rallied from last to narrow the final margin.
The time was 1:21.39 for the seven furlongs on the firm course as J to the Croft paid $6.90, $4.20 and $2.50.
Jose Lezcano rode the winner trained by Steve Klesaris to his second win in five starts.
Los Borrachos returned $6.30 and $4.30, and Harpoon paid $2.90 to show.
