PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Miami Marlins have placed shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria on the 15-day disabled list because of a right triceps strain.
Infielder Donovan Solano was called up from Triple-A New Orleans before Wednesday night's game at Philadelphia. Hechavarria is hitting .272. He has been Miami's primary shortstop because Rafael Furcal has been injured.
Solano is hitting .196 with one homer and six RBIs in 51 at-bats for the Marlins this year.
