RENO, Nev. (AP) — A Reno police sergeant's duties have been restricted after he was arrested on suspicion of DUI over the weekend.

Reno police say it's "regrettable" that 46-year-old Paul Sevcsik was arrested while he was off-duty about 10 p.m. Saturday.

Sparks police say they were called to assist in the traffic stop at Sixth Street and Evans Avenue in Reno, although they haven't provided details on Sevcsik's blood alcohol content at the time of his arrest.

He bailed out of the Washoe County Jail. He could not be reached for comment Wednesday morning.

Reno police say Sevcsik will be on restricted duty status until the case is resolved, and will face the same fines, fees and discipline as any other Washoe County citizen suspected of driving under the influence.
