RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — The Virginia Department of Health and Walgreens are teaming up to offer free HIV tests.
The tests are available daily at Walgreens locations in Alexandria, Collinsville, Danville, Fredericksburg, Hopewell, Manassas, Martinsville, Norfolk, Reston, Richmond, South Boston and Williamsburg. They will be offered at no charge through 2016.
The health department says in a news release that Walgreens pharmacists will administer the tests in private consultation rooms. Consumers can obtain test results in as little as one minute.
