TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (AP) — Police are looking for a wanted man considered armed and dangerous south of Salt Lake City after he apparently slipped away from a SWAT team at a home in Taylorsville.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal says they believed the assault suspect from Salt Lake County was in the residence on West Ridgecrest Drive when they surrounded it Saturday night.
Neighbors told KSL-TV (http://tinyurl.com/m4k29n2) officers told them to evacuate before igniting flash bangs and entering the home with guns drawn.
Police say they have been looking for 32-year-old Gustavo Samaniego since he showed up at his ex-wife's home in Magna Saturday afternoon and threatened his 21-year old stepdaughter with a gun.
Hoyal says they're now searching other places in the area that he is known to frequent.
