POST FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A shooting that occurred on the interstate and involved police officers from several jurisdictions in northern Idaho sent one person to the hospital in critical condition.
A short statement released by the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office says the shooting occurred about 2 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 90 in Post Falls.
It says officers and deputies from the Coeur d'Alene Police Department, Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, Idaho State Police and the Post Falls Police Department were involved.
No other details were immediately released about the shooting, which is under investigation.
The Bonner County Sheriff's Office was called in to conduct the investigation.
Westbound traffic on I-90 was closed for a time because of the incident.
