MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say a female's body has been recovered in Mount Rainier National Park in an area where a prominent outdoors writer is missing. The body hasn't been identified yet, but the search for 70-year-old Karen Sykes has been suspended. Officials say a medical examiner will determine the person's identity.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A major electronic music party in Las Vegas has been marred by the death of an attendee. The cause of death hasn't been revealed. Event producer Insomniac issued a statement saying it was "deeply saddened" by the death and hoped attendees would do their part to keep the weekend-long gathering safe. Organizers estimate 134,000 people attended the opening night Friday.

SAN DIEGO (AP) — The Border Patrol is beginning flights to ferry Central American migrants from south Texas to California for processing. It's an effort to ease the workload on agents at the nation's busiest corridor for illegal crossings who are dealing with a surge of Central Americans entering Texas' Rio Grande Valley. The Border Patrol has made more than 174,000 arrests since Oct. 1.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal says Americans are ready for "a hostile takeover" of the nation's capital. Speaking at the annual Faith and Freedom Coalition conference, Jindal accused President Barack Obama and other Democrats of waging wars against religious liberty and education and says a rebellion is brewing.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel's military says troops have shot and killed a Palestinian who approached them in a threatening manner and a Palestinian medical official says another was killed in Ramallah, where Palestinians clashed with Israeli soldiers as well as Palestinian police.
