NEW YORK (AP) — Cotton futures No. 2 closed $1.00 a bale lower to $3.40 higher Friday.
The average price for strict low middling 1 & 1-16 inch spot cotton advanced 63 cents to 79.03 cents per pound Friday for the seven markets, according to the Market News Branch, Memphis USDA.
