1 dead, 2 injured after shooting in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say one person is dead and two people are injured after a shooting in a neighborhood southeast of downtown Las Vegas.

Officer Jesse Roybal says police were called about 11 a.m. Friday to the 2600 block of Heritage Court, near East Sahara Avenue and South Mojave Road.

Roybal says one person was dead at the scene, while one person was taken to Sunrise Hospital and another was taken to University Medical Center.

The extent of their injuries and the circumstances of the shooting were not immediately clear.

Suspect information was not available Friday morning.
