CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Officials say a 77-year-old Nevada prison inmate from Las Vegas is dead after treatment for a chronic medical condition at a department regional medical facility in Carson City.

The Nevada Department of Corrections says Carlos M. Icasiano died Monday at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center.

Records show that Icasiano was sentenced in July 2004 in Clark County District Court to five to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to lewdness with a child under 14 years old.

Prison officials say the Carson City sheriff's office was called about the death and the coroner is conducting an autopsy.
