2 foreign exchange students injured in Fla crash

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say two foreign exchange students from China are recovering after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Panama City Beach.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the students were riding bicycles on Front Beach Road late Sunday.

The News Herald of Panama City (http://bit.ly/1l02Mkt ) reports one of the drivers has head injuries and is in critical condition. The other was in stable condition. Their identities were not released.

The driver initially fled the scene but was later charged with two counts of DUI with serious bodily injury, leaving the scene of a crash and failure to immediately report a crash.

No further details were immediately available.
