RENO, Nev. (AP) — A 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in connection with an accident that killed a bicyclist in the Reno area.

Washoe County sheriff's deputies say Jesse Todd II of Sun Valley was driving on Seneca Drive west of Virginia Street on Friday night when he crossed over to the wrong side of the road and struck a 16-year-old male bicyclist.

The bicyclist was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The victim's name was not immediately released.

Deputies say Todd was arrested and booked into the Washoe County jail after failing a field sobriety test.

The 9 p.m. accident is under investigation.
