LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say two people are dead after a plane crash near the north end of Lake Mead last night. The Review-Journal reports that emergency responders raced to the crash site around 9 p.m. after a witness reported the two-seater plane go down near Echo Bay. Lake Mead National Recreation Area spokeswoman Christie Vanover says the plane crashed on land hundreds of yards from an airstrip.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police are searching for two men wanted for an armed robbery at a pizza joint. Police say the pair walked into the Little Caesars on Northtowne Lane late Wednesday night. They say the two men armed with handguns demanded the clerk open the safe in what detectives described as a "takeover-style" robbery. Police told KRNV-TV the pair made off with unknown amount of cash.

HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — City officials say they don't suspect foul play in the death of a 33-year-old off-duty Henderson police officer found dead at home. Clark County coroner's officials say David John Sigmund was found dead Monday. The cause of death hasn't been released.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Some 3,000 people took part in a funeral yesterday for 31-year-old Las Vegas police officer Igor Soldo, who was killed Sunday by a couple who espoused anti-government views. Soldo's brother recalled how the family emigrated from war-torn Bosnia. Soldo and Officer Alyn Beck, as well as civilian Joseph Wilcox, were killed in the shooting.
