INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Miami center Greg Oden and Indiana swingman Evan Turner are both inactive for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.

Oden was acquired primarily to help defend the post against Pacers center Roy Hibbert.

Turner and center Andrew Bynum were both acquired in midseason moves to help contend with Miami, but neither will play Sunday.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra also has decided to start Shane Battier at forward, meaning Chris Bosh will likely be put on the 7-foot-2 Hibbert, who has played well recently after a slow start to the playoffs.
