Stockholm (dpa) - American pop star Madonna has signed a deal to wear designs by Swedish inexpensive clothing retailer Hennes & Mauritz off stage, the company said Thursday.
The deal would also include members of Madonna's dance troupe, band and tour crew engaged in her ongoing Confessions Tour. The tour is scheduled to end in September.
On stage, the "Material Girl" will continue to wear outfits by designer Jean-Paul Gaultier.
In August, the Swedish retailer said it planned to release a tracksuit with Madonna-flavour.
Hennes and Mauritz operates some 1,200 stores in 22 countries.
Reports in Stockholm daily Expressen last month suggested that Madonna had a "soft spot" for Sweden noting that she has sampled ABBA in her hit Hung up, and seen the musical Mamma Mia several times and also collaborated with Swedish director Jonas Akerlund.
