(KSL News) A Tooele County man will spend at least five years in jail for stabbing his live-in girlfriend to death.
John Dean Bevan was sentenced to five years to life on a charge of first-degree felony murder yesterday, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. He pleaded guilty to the charge last year in connection with the 2006 death of Tina Rene Evans.
Lawyers for Bevan say he has a history of mental illness and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
