TOOELE — Police and bystanders flipped a rolled car Thursday morning, freeing a woman who was critically injured after wrecking her vehicle on I-80.

The woman, 27, was heading west on I-80 around 3:30 a.m. when her car veered off the road midway between Tooele and Wendover. The woman over-corrected, rolling the vehicle, according to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce.

A truck driver who saw dust from the crash called 911. Responding troopers found the woman trapped in her car. Troopers and bystanders flipped the car so it was upright and freed the woman.

She was critically injured and was taken by medical helicopter to a local hospital.
