SALT LAKE CITY — A man was arrested after being involved in a hit-and-run and fleeing from police Friday.

Salt Lake City police officers attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic violations near 600 W. North Temple St. around 11:20 p.m., police said. The driver of the vehicle would not pull over and sped away from the area.

Police said as the driver fled from officers, he hit another vehicle, but then fled the scene. However, officers were able to track the driver to his home address and identified him as Justin Adolf, 29.

Adolf saw officers arrive at his house and started to flee the premises, police said. Police found Adolf on the roof of his house.

Adolf was taken into custody and was charged with interfering, hit and run and several other traffic violations.
