SALT LAKE CITY — A sea of pink flooded the streets Saturday morning as thousands of people ran in this year's Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
The event honors the memory of those who have died from breast cancer and the victory of those who have survived.
Runners came together at Library Square, each with their own story and reason to be there. There was one uniting theme, however: to help battle breast cancer.
Live music and sponsor booths encouraged the runners along the way, and a ceremony at the finish line included a recognition of breast cancer survivors.
The annual event raises money for breast cancer victims, treatment and research.
