GBTA Announces American Airlines' Chief Doug Parker as Featured

Speaker During GBTA Convention 2014

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 17, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Global

Business Travel Association (GBTA) - the voice of the global business

travel industry - today announced Doug Parker, CEO of American

Airlines Group and American Airlines, Inc. will be a featured speaker

at Center Stage during this year's GBTA Convention July 26-30 in Los

Angeles.

"GBTA is thrilled to add Doug as a speaker for this year's

Parker became CEO of American Airlines Group on Dec. 9, 2013 after the

successful close of the merger between US Airways and American

Airlines. Previously, Parker served as Chairman and CEO of US Airways

where he led the company to record revenue growth, operational

performance and profit margins that outpaced most industry peers.

Prior to the merger of US Airways and America West Airlines in 2005,

Parker was the Chairman, President and CEO of America West, taking the

role just ten days before Sept. 11, 2001, leading the carrier through

the difficult period.
