MILWAUKEE (AP) — New Marquette basketball coach Steve Wojciechowski says he thinks the underclassmen that he inherited will all stay with the program.
Wojciechowski spoke to reporters Tuesday night before a team banquet. He says he told players he wanted to develop a relationship, and to see where it led. The former Duke assistant says it's a fresh start for the Golden Eagles two weeks after he took over for Buzz Williams.
Wojciechowski says he is also still working on incoming recruits who had committed before Williams left to take the job at Virginia Tech.
Among the recruits, forward Sandy Cohen, of Seymour, Wis., has said he will honor his commitment to the Golden Eagles, though guard Ahmed Hill, of Augusta, Ga., has said he will weigh his options.
