ALAMOSA, Colo. (AP) — A 21-year-old Adams State University student has pleaded no contest to felony possession of explosives and reckless endangerment after an explosive device was discovered on campus last October.
The Alamosa Valley Courier reported ((http://tinyurl.com/mgqx9f4) that Kenan Bussen of Clovis, N.M., is expected to be sentenced to 18 months of probation, perform 200 hours of community service and undergo counseling.
Bussen was charged after authorities disarmed a device that contained liquids in a parking lot outside Rex Stadium.
Prosecutors said they believe the incident was a prank.
Bussen's attorney said the device didn't meet the definition of an explosive device under federal law but that his client entered a plea to settle the case. Sentencing is June 11.
