KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) — A South Florida federal judge has imposed fines and three years of probation on the Idaho Aquarium in an illegal wildlife trafficking case. Under the sentence yesterday, the aquarium in Boise must pay a $10,000 criminal fine, be placed on probation and submit a compliance plan. Two officers with the aquarium previously pleaded guilty and were sentenced to prison and probation.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A Louisiana man has been sentenced to five years in prison for a Boise bank robbery. Gerald Massey pleaded guilty in January to robbing a U.S. Bank branch of $64,500 in March 2013. He also pleaded guilty to trying to obstruct the investigation by telling a witness to lie to the FBI.

WARREN, Mich. (AP) — Police in the Detroit suburbs say an Idaho resident alerted them to a Facebook post that showed two cousins of a 14-year-old boy beating him with belts to discipline him for stealing candy at school. Officials suspect the beating took place in January or February. Police say the boy didn't have long-lasting physical injuries.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — The road to Old Faithful at Yellowstone National Park should be open by Friday. Last year, federal budget cuts threatened to delay plowing in Yellowstone. Local officials pitched in to hire state snow plows and plow crews. That helped to get Yellowstone opened up on schedule.
