LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The Mansfield School District in western Arkansas has been awarded a $160,000 grant by the U.S. Department of Education for physical fitness programs.

The grant announced Tuesday is intended to help schools and community organizations start, expand or enhance physical education and nutrition education programs — including after-school programs — for students in kindergarten through 12th grades.

The Department of Education awarded a total of 67 grants nationwide worth more than $33 million.
