UNDATED (AP) — Federal land managers are pledging to pursue efforts to resolve a conflict with a southern Nevada rancher who has refused to pay grazing fees for 20 years. Bureau of Land Management spokesman Craig Leff says the agency would continue to try to resolve the matter involving rancher Cliven Bundy "administratively and judicially." Bundy owes more than $1 million in grazing fees, according to the bureau.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Some 2,000 union members picketed in downtown Las Vegas on Saturday to draw attention to ongoing contract talks. Culinary Workers' Union Local 226 spokeswoman Bethany Khan says multiple lines of picketers walked back and forth at entrances to 10 downtown properties. Contracts expired last June, and union members voted in February to end a contract extension.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Manny Pacquiao won a unanimous decision in his rematch with Timothy Bradley in Las Vegas on Saturday night, avenging his 2012 loss and claiming the WBO welterweight title. Pacquiao pursued and peppered the previously unbeaten Bradley around the MGM Grand Garden ring. It was a rematch in the same arena where they met nearly two years ago.
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Former UNLV star Bryce Dejean-Jones says he'll play his final season at Iowa State. Dejean-Jones who led the Runnin' Rebels with 13.6 points a game last season. He told The Associated Press in a phone interview yesterday that he decided Iowa State was the right fit after visiting Ames over the weekend.
