AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — Miguel Angel Jimenez (mee-GEHL' ahn-HEHL' hih-MEHN'-ehz) shot a tournament best 6-under 66 to grab the clubhouse lead in the third round of the Masters. The fun-loving Spaniard is 3-under par for the 54 holes. Second round leader Bubba Watson entered today's play at 7-under par.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Cardinals extended the contract of general manager John Mozeliak (moh-ZAY'-lahk) for two years through the 2018 season. During the 45-year old's six years on the job, the Cardinals have been to the postseason four times, winning two National League pennants, and a World Series in 2011.

BOSTON (AP) — Boston has wrapped up the NHL's President's Trophy for the top point total in the NHL after beating league-worst Buffalo 4-1. Tuuka (TOO'-kuh) Rask made 24 saves and David Krejci (KRAY'-chee) scored twice to help the Bruins secure home ice advantage throughout the playoffs.

ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta can close out the NBA Eastern Conference playoff picture with a win at home over Miami tonight. The Hawks are seven games under .500, but if they can beat the Eastern Conference-leading Heat, they close out the Knicks for the final playoff spot in the East.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Ryan Malone's status for the playoffs may be in jeopardy after the Tampa Bay winger was charged with DUI and cocaine possession early this morning. NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly says Malone's future playing status will be determined in accordance with the Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health program set up by the league and players association.
