PLAINSBORO, N.J. (AP) — Officials say an oxygen tank exploded at a New Jersey hospital and seriously injured a nurse.
The blast occurred a little before 9 .m. Thursday in a room at Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro. Officials are trying to pinpoint why the tank blew.
The hospital says a nurse was taken to a burn unit at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston and is listed in critical condition.
A patient and visitor were both treated for smoke inhalation.
More than a dozen patients in rooms near where the explosion occurred were moved to rooms on other floors.
