WASHINGTON (AP) — Wizards forward Nene plans to ease himself back when he returns Wednesday from a knee injury.

He expects to see limited minutes when Washington hosts the Charlotte Bobcats in a pivotal game in Eastern Conference playoff seeding.

Nene returned to practice this week for the first time spraining the medial collateral ligament in his left knee Feb. 23.

Nene said Tuesday his whole body is sore and he needs to get back to his "old condition." He has five games to return to full basketball shape in time for the playoffs.

The Wizards are trying to fend off the Bobcats. Washington holds the sixth seed in East and leads Charlotte by one game.
