LAVERKIN, Utah (AP) — A Washington County deputy has pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence after rolling his police vehicle with his children inside.

Court records show Jason Lynn Adams entered the pleas last week. A preliminary hearing is set for May 27.

Adams had been placed on leave from the sheriff's office before resigning last month.

Authorities say he crashed his unmarked Ford F-150 on Feb. 9 on Highway 17 near LaVerkin.

Neither he nor his four children, who were passengers, had more than minor injuries.

The 39-year-old Adams has also pleaded not guilty to failing to stay in a lane.
