Tragic British royal DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES was not engaged to her lover DODI AL FAYED, nor was she pregnant when she died, a leaked report claims.
Details from the official report into her fatal 1997 accident - due out later this year (06) - apparently use forensic evidence to prove the Princess was not expecting a child, while the jeweller who claimed Harrods heir Dodi had bought an engagement ring has confessed he was lying, putting an end to nine years of conspiracy theories.
The investigation, obtained by British tabloid the News of the World, finds the Paris crash happened because the vehicle was going too fast and driver HENRI PAUL was over the drink-drive limit, crucially adding that seatbelts would have saved them.
The report headed by former Metropolitan Police commissioner LORD STEVENS allegedly tells: "There was no evidence belts were tampered with - they hadn't been deployed.
"If they'd worn them they could still be here to-day."
Lord Stevens' two-year enquiry into the accident is due to wrap up in the autumn (06), when a full report will be published. (DJ/WNSNE/SH)
